Posed with a handful of public service maps each with a different design, projection (map speak for orientation), and collection of artifacts the aim of this project was to make life easier for the everyday Chapel Hill community member. One particularly interesting application of this project was the compilation of artifacts not represented on any city-made map or Google Map, e.g. footpaths between Rosemary and Franklin Sts.
We sought to achieve the following:

Combine all the available map data provided by the city

Provide access for the entire city to make edits to one map with ease

Encourage the community to share specific local knowledge unavailable elsewhere
